Parental Support
Parental support is one of the major and most
necessary assets of the School. It not only fosters
growth of all the students, it is required for the
continued existence of the School community.
Parents are expected to take a positive, active
role in their children's education and the activities
of the School. When the work is shared by
all the parents, the load is light and enjoyable.
On the other hand, parental actions which disrupt the
School community or the educational process can harm
all students and impede the School's ability to provide a
quality, caring educational environment; such adverse
parental actions can result in the parent's children being
removed from the School.
Parent Volunteer Organization (PVO)
Every parent or responsible party automatically
becomes a member of the St. John Neumann
School PVO upon enrolling a student in
St. John Neumann School.
A private school needs an organization to foster a
close-knit bond between the parent body and the
faculty/administration of that school. The Parent
Volunteer Organization also provides for many of
the financial considerations that are unique to
private schools.
The Parents Volunteers enlist the aid, support and
service of all its members in various projects
throughout the school year. For example, when
schools need something built, fixed, moved, etc.,
members readily volunteer their skills, time and
energy. When special projects for the students arise
members respond as needed. The Parent Volunteer
Organization works with the Development Office
to raise money for operating expenses, special
events, and items needed in academic instruction.
